Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Name (optional)
• Password (encrypted)
• Preferred language settings

Payment Information

When you purchase minutes, we collect:

• Payment method details (processed securely via Stripe)
• Transaction history
• Billing address

We do not store complete credit card numbers on our servers. All payment processing is handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor, Stripe.

Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Session duration and timestamps
• Languages used in translations
• Device type and browser information
• IP address (for security and fraud prevention)

Communication Data

During video translation sessions:

• Audio is processed in real-time for translation and is NOT recorded or stored
• Video streams are transmitted peer-to-peer and are NOT recorded or stored
• Text translations may be temporarily cached during your session but are deleted when the session ends

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our translation services
• Process payments and manage your account balance
• Send important service notifications
• Improve our translation accuracy and platform performance
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
• Comply with legal obligations

Data Security Measures

We implement robust security measures including:

• 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission
• Video and audio streams are encrypted in transit.
• Encrypted password storage using industry-standard hashing
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Access controls limiting employee access to user data
• Video and audio calls run on HIPAA-aligned infrastructure with a zero-PHI design: calls are not recorded or retained. Participants can save their own transcript before a call ends. Written messages between network members, and patient requests, are kept as described in this policy.

Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account closure
• Transaction records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
• Session data: Deleted immediately upon session end
• Audio/Video: Never recorded or stored

Patient Requests

Patient requests. If you ask us to connect you with a medical travel facilitator, we collect the details you give us: your name, email, WhatsApp number (if provided), country, the type of treatment you are interested in, when you hope to travel, and your preferred language. Because this tells us about the care you are seeking, we treat it as health information. With your consent, we share these details with one independent facilitator in our network so they can contact you. We do not use them for any other purpose, and we do not sell them. LinguaLinQ does not provide medical services or recommendations. We delete your request 90 days after passing it to a facilitator, or sooner if you ask us at support@lingualinq.ai. Once a facilitator has your details, their own privacy practices apply to how they use them.

Solicitudes de pacientes. Si nos pide que lo pongamos en contacto con un facilitador de turismo médico, recopilamos los datos que nos proporciona: su nombre, correo electrónico, número de WhatsApp (si lo indica), país, el tipo de tratamiento que le interesa, cuándo le gustaría viajar y su idioma de preferencia. Como estos datos indican la atención médica que busca, los tratamos como información de salud. Con su consentimiento, los compartimos con un facilitador independiente de nuestra red para que se comunique con usted. No los usamos para ningún otro fin y no los vendemos. LinguaLinQ no presta servicios médicos ni hace recomendaciones. Eliminamos su solicitud 90 días después de enviarla a un facilitador, o antes si nos lo pide en support@lingualinq.ai. Una vez que el facilitador tiene sus datos, se aplican sus propias prácticas de privacidad.

Our services are hosted in the United States. By using LinguaLinQ.ai, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and its processing there.
